Joint Service at St. Paul's [Sunday, Sep 13] [NEW]
Next Sunday, Sep 13, St. Paul's in Chicago Heights is hosting our Joint Worship Service. There is no service at Immanuel. The service at St. Paul's will start at 10:30 AM, and there will be a 'Cake -n- Coffee' Reception following the service in the School Building. Everyone is asked to 'Bring a Friend', invite a family member, whoever 😀. It will be a joyous time to celebrate God's blessings and forgiveness.
Sep 13 is also the official launch of this year's St. Paul's Sunday School program. We will be installing the teachers during the service, with classes actually starting next week. All children through 8th grade are welcome to attend, with parents staying with any infant / toddler under age 3.
And finally, we will be blessing all of our 'Action Team Members' who are diligently working on multiple tasks to better unite our congregations as well as help strengthen our outreach to our neighboring communities . Please join us and share in all of these wonderful activities. We hope to see everyone there.
Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church is a congregation of Christians, who gather together regularly to hear the Word of God
preached, and receive the holy communion of Christ's very body and blood for the forgiveness of sins and the strengthening of
faith. Such purpose is rooted in the tradition observed by the Christian community shortly after the ascension of Christ into
heaven. And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. (Acts 2:42, ESV)
